The Flower Crown

Today I would like to give MY opinion on this whole flower crown situation that has taken this world by storm. I remember quite a while ago it was a high fashion accessory, we saw it in high fashion editorials or on the runway or at a classic bohemian wedding/gathering.
The flower crown gives you that feeling of being free, happy, flower child, in touch with nature, etc.
And believe me it wasn't long till I also fell in love with the flower crown.
I'm such a big fan of the "original" flower crown. Some people may say that it looked like some people wore an entire garden on their head, but for me personally that's what made it so exotic and beautiful....
Until.....this happened:

Yes, it became so popular that all the retail outlets had to start catering for the everyday consumer craving to also wear 'flowers in their hair'.
They started selling these headbands, and honestly there is nothing wrong with the product itself,
I particularly had more of a problem of who it was attracting.
I was busy getting ready for a party with a few girls I only met quite recently, one girl saw my flower crowns and asked if she could wear one. I'm not judgemental, but I mean to say this girl was wearing sky-high heels, tight skirt (peeking underbum) and a glitter top. To my surprise to her preference wanting to wear a flower crown, seeing that it clearly was not her style is what bothers me.
These girls wearing tons of make-up in their slutty little outfits wearing their headband flower crowns pouting as if there is no tomorrow taking selfies left, right and center.
These days I don't even feel like wearing my flower crowns anymore, just due to the fact that
it has become such an accessory, that it's not an extension of my personality anymore.
Don't get me wrong any girl that wear flowers in hair, automatically becomes so pretty.
You just have to ask yourself, is this really you? Is it your personality to wear a flower crown on your head? Is this my style?
